キバリオン – ヘルメスの7つの原理とは？

キバリオン（Kybalion）とは

『キバリオン』は、ヘルメス哲学に基づく古典的な著作で、古代ギリシャのヘルメスと古代エジプトのトートが融合した伝説のヘルメス・トリスメギストスの教えを伝えることを目的としています。

1908年に「Three Initiates」によって初版が刊行されて以来、多くの思想家やスピリチュアリストに影響を与えてきました。

ヘルメスの7つの原理

1. メンタリズムの原理

The Principle of Mentalism

“THE ALL is MIND; The Universe is Mental.”—The Kybalion.

すべては心であり、宇宙は精神的である。

2. 対応の原理

The Principle of Correpondence

“As above, so below; as below, so above.”—The Kybalion.

上にあるものは下にも存在し、下にあるものは上にも存在する。

3. 振動の原理

The Principle of Vibration

“Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates.”—The Kybalion.

何も休むことはない。すべては動き、すべては振動する。

4. 極性の原理

The Principle of Polarity

“Everything is Dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled.”—The Kybalion.

すべてのものは二元的である。すべてのものには極があり、すべてのものには一組の反対物がある。似たものと似ていないものは同じであり、反対物は本質的に同一だが程度が異なる。両極は出会う。すべての真実は半分の真実に過ぎず、すべての矛盾は調和できる。

5. リズムの原理

The Principle of Rhythm

“Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates.”—The Kybalion.

万物は流れ出たり入ったりする。万物には潮の満ち引きがある。万物は上昇し下降する。振り子の揺れは万物に現れる。右への揺れの度合いは左への揺れの度合いと同じである。リズムがそれを補う。

6. 原因と結果の原理

The Principle of Cause and Effect

“Every Cause has its Effect; every Effect has its Cause; everything happens according to Law; Chance is but a name for Law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the Law.”—The Kybalion.

“すべての原因には結果があり、すべての結果には原因がある。すべては法則に従って起こる。偶然とは、認識されていない法則の名前にすぎない。原因には多くの面があるが、法則から逃れられるものは何もない。
